Both finishes are made to age beautifully. The main difference is in their color, sheen, and overall feel. Choose the one that best matches the look you want for your keepsake.
1. Classic Finish (Colors 1-9):
- Smooth vegetable-tanned leather with richer colors and a gentle natural sheen. It has a traditional leather appearance and feels slightly firmer when new. With regular handling, it gradually softens and develops a deeper, one-of-a-kind patina.
- Choose Classic if you prefer warm, timeless leather tones and a more traditional finish.
2. Matte Finish (Colors 10-14):
- A softer, low-sheen finish with calm, pastel-inspired colors. Its understated appearance gives the portrait a gentler, more modern feel. Over time, the surface may become smoother and develop a subtle natural glow.
- Choose Matte if you prefer softer colors and a quiet, understated look.
Because leather is a natural material, slight variations in color, grain, and texture are normal. These differences are part of what makes every LomiPaw piece unique.
Crafting, Delivery & Order Care
Crafting Time: Approximately 2–3 Weeks: We’ll send you a design proof before hand-carving begins. Once you approve the design, please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for your portrait to be shaped, carved, and painted by hand. We take time with each detail, so every piece is made with care never rushed.
Shipping Estimates:
Once your keepsake is finished and dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number by email. Standard delivery usually takes 6–10 business days to the USA, the UK, and most European destinations, and 8–15 business days to Canada and other destinations. Delivery times may vary depending on local customs and carrier conditions.
Custom Order Cancellation Policy:
Because every LomiPaw portrait is created specifically from your photo and cannot be resold, cancellation terms depend on how far your order has progressed:
- Before design work begins: You’ll receive a full refund.
- After the design proof is sent: A 30% artist fee will be retained to cover the custom design work already completed.
- After hand-carving begins: Once the design has been approved and carving has started, the order becomes final and non-refundable.
- Damaged on arrival: If your keepsake arrives damaged or has a major manufacturing defect, please email lomipaw.service@outlook.com with in 48 hours of delivery and include clear photos. We’ll review the issue and arrange a replacement when applicable.

Every LomiPaw portrait begins with the photo you provide and is shaped, carved, and painted entirely by hand. We do not use laser engraving, molds, or flat printing for the finished portrait.
Our artisans study the features that make your pet recognizable, including the shape of their face, ears, markings, fur direction, and expression, and translate them into a gently raised leather portrait. Because every piece is made by hand, small variations are natural and part of what makes your keepsake uniquely yours.
Natural Leather Solid Brass Hardware
Your portrait is made with full-grain vegetable-tanned leather and finished with solid brass hardware, chosen for their durability and the way they develop character over time.
The finished piece can be carried on your keys or bag, or displayed at home as a personal keepsake. Since leather is a natural material, each hide has its own grain and texture. Slight differences in color, surface, and markings are normal and should not be considered defects.
A Finish that Develops Character Over Time
Natural leather changes through touch and use. Over time, the surface may become softer and smoother, while the color can gradually deepen as it develops a natural patina.
These changes are not signs of damage. They are part of the way genuine leather ages and give every keepsake a more personal character. To care for your portrait, keep it away from prolonged moisture, direct heat, and harsh cleaning products. When needed, gently wipe the leather with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

Yes, in many cases. We can often create portraits of rabbits, birds, hamsters, and other animal companions, as long as the photo clearly shows the features and details needed for carving.
